MCDA Organizes Occupational Therapy Workshop February 10th, 2007
|
MCDA organized a workshop on occupational therapy for parents and teachers on
February 10th, 2007 at the Communications Museum of Macau.
The guest speaker was Cate Pietrobon, an occupational therapist with more than 10
years of professional experience working with children in the U.K., South Africa, and
Hong Kong.
Cate provided the audience with an overview of occupational therapy and how it is
used to help children. One of her key messages to the audience was "Early
intervention is key to avoid problems later in life. The manner in which children
interpret their environment is critical for their success at home, school, and society."
MCDA is grateful to Cate Pietrobon for traveling to Macau for this workshop. We
also want to thank the Communications Museum of Macau for allowing us to use
their auditorium for this workshop.
